Drummer, Producer and Bandleader, Jason Lee Bruns (b. 1979) leads Los Angeles-based jazz-pop ensemble Bruns & Baché. They have performed for “Jazz at LACMA”, top L.A. venues including Catalina Jazz Club, Vibrato, and Vitello’s, as well as two Japan Tours.
Bruns is the founder of the Campbell Hall World Music and Recording Arts programs. There he is the musical director of two 18-piece steel bands, a 26-member world drumming ensemble, and three levels of Recording Arts, which includes an AVID ProTools Certification.
Bruns has self-produced twelve albums with two on Top-10 charts and airing on 300+ radio shows nationwide, including L.A.’s KKJZ 88.1FM. He holds masters degrees in Jazz Studies (USC) and Music Production (Berklee).
Notable collaborations include Beck, Louis Price, Liane Carroll, and a Game of Thrones commercial. When not in L.A., Bruns travels the globe in search of new rhythms for inspiration.
Recorded at the famous Sunset Sound in Hollywood, CA — “Ballroom” movie soundtrack was produced, mixed and mastered by BRUNS featuring original arrangements by Kevin Baché. Special guests include a track featuring flute by Katisse Buckingham (Anchorman and Minions 1 and 2 ), Kleber Jorge on Brazilian guitar (Rio 1 and 2, Sergio Mendez), and backing vocals by Amy Keys (Phil Collins’ singer).
