We invited Bruns to speak to our Music Majors about his experiences
as an educator & freelance artist. The discussion was engaging, thoughtful,
and most of all, filled with practical advice informed by his experiences.
...other than his unbelievable musical talent, is his [Bruns'] natural ability
to immediately engage all the students, regardless of their musical ability.
Bruns has done more than an excellent job at getting a first rate performance
and educational experience from his students.
I'm very proud of Bruns' accomplishments in the worlds professional music and pedagogy.
After being infused with Bruns' amazing energy and excellence
the already good music program suddenly became even better.
I have had an overwhelming amount of requests for Bruns' KeyNote presentation.
[Bruns' was] one of the best presentations I’ve ever coordinated here at the campus.
Bruns is a keynote speaker on various music industry topics. He has spoken most recently to 124 students [remotely] at Miami University (Music Majors) in Ohio, and prior to that [in-person] at St. Petersburg College (Music Industry / Recording Arts majors) in Florida.
Bruns shares his knowledge of World Rhythms and Music Production with various music programs for High School through College levels.
Bruns joined the faculty of Campbell Hall (a private k-12 college prep school in Studio City, California) in 2004 where he is the creator of a three level Recording Arts & Production program, and founding director of two World Drumming Ensembles, and two Steel Bands. Throughout his tenure he’s curated and helped to procure a world-class authentic instrument collection from various regions, and is the designer of their state-of-the-art recording studio.
